Pastor David & Roxanne Swann
ps@fcfconline.com
Pastor Swann and Roxanne met at Bible School in Tulsa, OK and married in August 1980. They came immediately to Clovis and began the church in September 1980.
Pastor Swann was born in Oklahoma and moved to Clovis as a first grader. Being raised by a coach, he was highly involved in athletics. He played football as a young boy and was the starting quarterback for the Clovis Wildcats both his junior and senior years. His life drastically changed when he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at the age of 17.
Roxanne was born and raised in South Carolina. Having been brought up in church, her desire, from a young child, was to marry a minister.
They pioneered the church in their early 20’s. After 10 years of what seemed to be very little success, Pastor Swann was able to assimilate what he had learned at Bible School with the leadership teachings of John Maxwell, and the church began to grow and influence, not just Clovis, but the surrounding areas and entire state.
Pastor Swann has his Master’s Degree in Leadership and Old Testament Studies.
He serves as one of the National Directors with the Significant Church Network, a ministry of Jim and Tamara Graff. He travels into small county churches across America with a message of hope and encouragement to Pastors and their wives.
They have four children: Janae and husband, Mikel; Jason and wife, Ginny; Joy; and Jocelyn and one granddaughter, Abbi.
