and the truth.
FALSE. Clovis Christian Schools, Inc. was organized in 1994 as a ministry to provide the Clovis community with a Christian school. TRUE. FCFC does own and operate KFCL TV on UHF 41, Suddenlink Cable 108 & DT 71.1, and Comcast Cable 98. KFCL is a broadcast affiliate of the Daystar Network. In addition KFCL shoots and broadcasts many community events including High School Sports, school performances, the PRCA Rodeo, area motocross races, political press conferences/debates, and Sunday morning services from FCFC.
FALSE. While all of our children's ministry is a lot of FUN...playtime is only one portion of the Power Force worship service. Our program is designed to introduce children to the love of God through a wide variety of worship, multimedia, preaching, prayer, and play times.
FCFC has children's ministry for Birth - 6th Grade three times a week. Each age group and service is different, but here is the order of service for a typical Power Force Worship Service: (K-6th)
1. Playtime with scooters, hula hoops, dance mats, jumpers/bouncers (blow up games)
2. High energy praise and worship led by Adrenaline Rush Children
3. Prayer time. Older children pray for the needs of the younger. (Adult leaders pray for all children)
4. Bible lesson. Mrs. Brenda, our children's pastor, shares an exciting message that challenges children to grow deeper in their relationship with the Lord.
5. Altar call. The altars are open for children to receive salvation and/or respond to a challenge from the sermon.
NO. All are welcome at FCFC. There are NO "rules" regarding attendance. However, to serve in several areas of ministry, like children/youth, you do have be a member of the church. You do NOT need to close your membership at another church to become a member at FCFC. Many of our military families have lived here in Clovis for several years, yet still have their memberships active at their home church.
Apparently this rumor involves tithing, and making sure people actually tithe the proper percentage of their income.
TOTALLY FALSE. We have never required anyone to disclose their earnings to the church. Members are encouraged to tithe, simply because we believe it is scriptural to do so. If members choose not to tithe, that is entirely between them and God. No one from the church will approach them regarding their decision.
