Nursery (Birth–3 years)

At Faith Christian Family Church we Love babies and are committed to providing the most loving and caring environment for your child. We consider it a privilege and honor to provide for the needs of your child while you attend service. In order to facilitate your visit, we ask that you bring the necessities for your child, including diapers, wipes, fresh bottles of milk or juice, and a change of clothes (for the unexpected).

Mission

We want all children to experience the love of God at every visit. Our greatest desire is to not only meet the physical and emotional needs of your child, but to also minister to their spirits as well.

All children will have a Bible lesson designed to allow children to discover that God made them, God loves them, and Jesus wants to be their friend forever.

Our service dates and times

  • Sunday morning 9 & 11 am
  • Wednesday night 7 pm
  • Friday Night 6 pm/Extended care 7 pm – 9:45 pm

Our Nursery opens 30 minutes before each service.

Children should be picked up within 15 minutes after the close of service.

Safety

Be assured that your child’s safety is taken very seriously. All parents will receive a Guard Card that will have a call number. This number will be displayed if you are needed. The only person authorized to pick up your child is the one with the Guard Card.

Services

Each service children will learn about God and Jesus through a variety of curriculums.

Each service your child will enjoy the following: Prayer, praise & worship, and Bible lesson, snack, craft, games, and extra activities. It is all age appropriate.

BRENDA MCFIELD

Mrs. Brenda started her career in the Early Childhood field in 1988. For 11 years she worked in a Military Center Based Program with children ranging from the ages 6 months to 12 years as a classroom teacher specializing in preschoolers, as a supervisor, and as a training curriculum specialist servicing the Child Development Centers, Family Childcare and the School-Age Programs.

Mrs. Brenda’s education includes National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Validator, she is a Child Development Associates (CDA) Advisor and Training, a New Mexico Kids Master Trainer, and an American Red Cross Instructor. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Services/Specialization Early Childhood from Wayland Baptist University and an Associates of Arts Degree from Clovis Community College in New Mexico.

Mrs. Brenda was ordained and joined the FCFC team in July 2004. She is married to John McField, who retired as a Technical Sergeant in 1998, and who is currently a Registered Nurse (RN). They have 2 amazing adult children John and Kyree.

  3. POWER FORCE EVENTS

    Fun Nights
    Children meet for fun, food, and friends. Activities include swimming, roller skating, bowling, picnics, etc.

    Power Force First Step Classes and Water Baptism
    Children desiring to take that First Step of their spiritual journey are invited to this class where we teach them about Salvation and Baptism. First Step is a required class for children wanting to be baptized.

    Children will be marked forever as they are baptized in our very own BAPmobile. The BAPmobile is a 1941 Fire Engine that has been converted into a traveling baptismal truck; complete with lights, siren, and the “Flag of Heroes” listing all 343 FDNY Firefighters who sacrificed their lives on September 11, 2001.

  4. VBS

    Kindergarten through six grade children learn about Jesus through rich Bible teaching using a thematic approach. These teachings involve songs, games, puppetry, Bible stories, crafts, snacks, outdoor games, etc. The children also have the opportunity to develop real friendships and the ability to disciple other children and adults in the ways of the Lord.

  5. SUMMER CAMP

    Children in 3rd through 6th grade will experience a time with God and their friends each summer at Discovery Camp in Columbus, Texas. Discovery Camp rated the number one Full Gospel Christian Camp in America!

  6. SEA WORLD

    Every summer children in 3rd through 6th grade will spend a day at Sea World!

  7. JUNIOR CAMP

    Children K-2nd grade have the chance to experience camp without leaving town. Held here at Faith Christian Family Church this camp offers exciting services, fun, fellowship with friends and did we mention a sleep over!

  8. HARVEST CARNIVAL

    As an alternative to Halloween, children will enjoy a night of sheer fun. Air games, carnival games, prizes, puppet shows, good food, and tons of candy make this night a memorable one!

  9. CHRISTMAS MUSICAL

    The entire Power Force Department performs a Christmas Musical every year for the entire Faith Christian Family Church congregation and community.

  10. Wacky Wednesdays and Silly Sunday Services

    Several times a year we engage children in a different kind of service to keep church fresh and exciting. Fun services include pajama Sunday, movie and popcorn Sunday, backwards Sunday, wet and wild Sunday, jersey Sunday, various holiday celebrations, Back to School Bash Wednesday and End of School Bash Wednesday. All special services continue to teach and celebrate God’s love and His purpose for our lives.
