Ministries

Hospital Visitation
This ministry is a team that provides spiritual support and encouragement to hospitalized members and attendees through visits and phone calls. Books and tapes on healing will be given to those in the hospital during visits.

Connection Groups
During Connection Group meetings there is a short lesson and prayer. These meetings are bible based, and focus on a specific topic or book study. Meeting times vary according to the applicable group.

Discipleship Ministry
This is an ongoing four lesson DISCIPLESHIP held on the first four Wednesdays of each month in Chapel 1 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. These lessons are for those who have recently dedicated or rededicated their lives to Christ. It is also for those who have lost their passion or need to reconnect with God's Word and promises.

Usher
An usher's duties are to assist all people coming in to church prior to and after service. This includes giving directions, preparing the sanctuary, and seating people. Ushers are one of the first people that everyone sees when coming to Faith Christian Family Church. Ushers collect and count the offering and get attendance from all services. Other duties include assisting with prayer lines and helping to maintain order during the service.

Security Team
This ministry assists in providing safety in and around the church building.

Host / Hostess
A host or hostess greet people as they come in the doors, offering them a bulletin and any assistance they might need. If they are a first time visitor, we show them where they need to go (Sanctuary, Nursery, Children's Church, etc.). We are one of the first people they see as they arrive and we try to make them feel "at home."

Hospitality Room
This ministry helps our visitors to feel welcome and gives them an opportunity to ask questions about ourchurch.

Altar Room Ministry
Assist in helping people receive salvation, be restored to fellowship with the Father, and receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Altar Room workers work in the Altar Room because of their love for souls.

Information Center
The Information Center is located next to Chapel I in the main foyer. Volunteers receive and pass out tape orders, book sales for Adult School of the Bible classes and special meetings, answer questions about upcoming events, and check out listening assist devices. This is also the location for Lost and Found. All duties are before or after services, on Sundays and Wednesdays.

Communion Team
The communion team meets on the first Sunday of each month to prepare the elements. The team consists of four people. The duties include preparing the trays before the 9:00 AM service and between services for the 11:00 AM service. After communion has been served in both services, the team empties, washes, dries and put the trays away. Jesus' sacrifice is remembered each time we partake in communion services. "...This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me." - 1 Corintians 11:24

Care Callers
This is a telephone ministry to absentees who are church members. Participants meet at the church to make telephone calls.

Visitation Ministry
This ministry is designed to provide information to the new or rededication Christian regarding discipleship tools at their disposal. This is accomplished through personal phone calls and home visitations. Another goal is to present the gospel message to other members of the households we visit.

Juvenile Detention Center (JDC) Ministry
Visit incarcerated youth, correspond with them, share in Saturday night discussion groups, or visit families of JDC kids.

Adult Detention (Jail) Ministry
We visit men and women every Wednesday night who are incarcerated at the Curry County Jail. We minister salvation, hope, discipleship, and love to these men and women. We encourage and welcome them to come to our church and have seen many families join our church as the result of this ministry.

Nursing Home Ministry
Our team visits four different nursing homes in our area. We help with activities and also create activities on and off the premises. We sow seeds of love through the teaching of the Word in group and one-on-one settings.

Funeral Meals
Assist in organizing and preparing meals for church families after funerals.

Praise and Worship Team
This team ministers to the church body during Sunday, Wednesday, and special services through singing and/or playing a musical instrument. This team also includes a sound booth person and a PowerPoint person.

Water Baptism Ministry
We minister to all believers who have never been baptized. We help by assisting those to be baptized fill out information cards, escort them to and from dressing rooms, and pray for God's power to be manifested.

Media Ministry
The Media Ministry was established to provide service tapes for volunteer workers, TDY members, shut-ins, members who have moved and requested tapes, and special ministry times. This is normally done once a week on Mondays, but can be tailored to your individual schedule. The time involved is determined by the number of orders received. The tapes, or other media, are run, proofed, labeled, placed in order envelopes, and placed at the Information Center for pick up.

- Sound Team
The sound person operates the sound system in the sanctuary during Sunday, Wednesday, and special services. The sound person is part of the Praise and Worship Team and assists them with their rehearsals.

- Lighting Team
This ministry helps program and set the lighting for Sunday, Wednesday, and special services. We also assist with dramas and special activities held in the church sanctuary. Our system is high tech and fun. We minister to the lost and fellow believers by our service behind the lights.

- Projection
This individual runs the announcements and songs from the balcony in the sanctuary for Sunday, Wednesday, and special services. This person is part of the Praise and Worship Team and assists them with their rehearsals.

Friday Night
We need members to minister during our friday night services from the praise and worship team and media ministry to the ushers and nurseries.

TDY Committee
Members who are on TDY for at least a six month term receive a Care Package once every three months. TDY members who are gone more than six weeks, but less than three months receive cards and their family, here, receives phone calls on a regular basis.

Office Volunteer
Bulletin assembly 1-2 hours, approximately twice a month on Friday.

Traffic Team
This ministry provides safety and direction with traffic and parking facilities at FCFC.
